I EXPECT THAT I SHOULD ADDRESS THIS TO SHAZ BUT HERE GOES ;
dear shaz, please read this message in the spirit in which it is being sent, in no way am i moaning at you !
However is there anyway that the Soskan Forum could be tidied up ? I showed some of it to a neutral party and he asked why there was so much out dated stuff on there. Granted a non member won't have access to much of it but do we really need a wants & for sale section with posts dating from April 2009 ! or the enquiries about Powder supplies at rockingham ? Many posts / topics are still relevant but to the uninitiated it does seem to be cluttered.
I know you are a busy person but if you could take a look. Surely it's not more than a few keystrokes to delete some of them?

| As far as I am aware Chris, all members of the EC who have access to this site have the power to edit/delete anything. It is not just Shaz. However I do know that in the past EC members have been very hesitant to delete things, even old and outdated stuff because it can be seen as censorship by some. Thin Ice? |

Yes, all EC members can do that, but I think everyone's a bit nervous because if we delete something you guys wanted there's hell to pay. Nevertheless, I agree it is out of hand so I've stepped in. Really sorry if I deleted something anyone wanted, but I put below how to stop that in future.
I did a major prune of several topic areas, but I won't touch history, members only or articles. In other words, information that will never go out of date. I can't go through one by one (way too much!), so I put a 30 day max on most and 60 days for a couple of them and just told the system to lop off any not replied to within that time. So if anyone's worried about losing something, make sure you post something like 'keep' on them so the next time I do a prune they won't be caught in the fire. I've set wants and needs to automatically prune itself after 30 days but I left the others to be done manually when they get out of hand.
